Valentine's Day, Peter age 11 months

"Yeah, we will get you all nice and clean, before papa will show up.."

Steve smiled, stepping out of the elevator, hearing happy gurgling and Tony’s cooing. Soon, his baby’s cute laughter rang in the air.

"I’m glad you’re having fun. Ah! Peter! Don’t splash!"

Ah, bath time. It was cute to watch their nearly one year old son taking a bath. Peter was giggling and splashing, quickly changing his initial fear of water into love and fun time.

"Hey guys, how is it--" Steve wheezed, entering the bathroom and taking in the scenery.

Red.

Red everywhere.

In the water. On Tony's hands.

"OH MY GOD!" Steve screamed, rushing forward, panic clear on his face. He didn't know what to do and jerked between Tony and Peter, unsure who he should take care of first. "What happened?! Is he okay?!" Steve screamed out, planning to take Peter out of the blood like water, but a hand on his shoulder stopped him.

"Steve--"

"What happened?!" Steve demanded again, feeling like crying. What was going on, they both were hurt, what the hell happened.. He took Tony's hands in his, expecting to see a cut on the palms, his shaky hands holding Tony's..

Clean. There was no cut. The red water was dripping off, showing intact skin. Steve's eyes darted to Peter. Peter was calmly sitting in the bathtub, splashing the water with one hand, holding a rubber duck in the other hand.

"Honeeeyyy.."

His breath still ragged and uneven, Steve looked at Tony, seeing concerned and sorry brown eyes. Tony squeezed soldier's hands reassuringly.

"We are fine. Me and Peter were painting and we got a little bit messy, that's all," Tony said slowly, making sure that the sense of the words gets to his stunned husband.

Steve closed his eyes, breathing out in relief. That was the most terrifying thing he had seen in his entire life. "Oh God.." he whined, taking Tony's hands and kissing them, next burying his face in them, thankful for the false alarm.

Tony let him have a moment of comfort, realizing that for someone not familiar with situation, it was a picture from a nightmare. He would gladly let Steve continue to hide in his hands, but.. "I have to take out Peter from the water," Tony said gently.

Steve nodded and after last kiss, sat on the edge of the bathtub, dropping his head down, trying to erase the image from his mind.

"Come on, kiddo," Tony hummed, taking Peter out with a splash, and a lot of happy, safe baby gurgling. He quickly dried off Peter and put him in teddy bear onesie, pulling the hoodie with bear ears over Peter's head, protecting his head from cold air. Holding Peter on his hip and around the baby's back, Tony reached for Steve's hand. "Steve, you want to see what me and Peter made?"

Steve opened his eyes and looked in front of himself, letting out a long breath. It was fine. They both were safe. He nodded his head and followed Tony out of the bathroom.

The whole family entered Peter's room and Steve saw a plastic wrapping spread over the floor, protecting the rug underneath, and a lot of, once white pages, colored with splashes of paint and small handprints belonging to Peter, and Tony's bigger ones. He smiled slightly to the pictures, which presented nothing, but were cute in their unique way.

Tony let go of Steve's hand, to reach for the one picture he put on the drawer, away from the other ones. He turned to Steve with a smile. "Ta-daaa!" he presented proudly.

Steve blinked. At first glance, it was a heart. At second glance, it was a rather sloppily painted heart. But at third glance, Steve saw one part  of the heart was the print of Tony's fingers, both hands pressed together,  and forming the top of the heart. The bottom part where Peter's foot prints, pressed down at different angles, forming the bottom part of the heart. All in red.

"Happy Valentine's Day!" Tony smiled excitedly.

Steve didn't know what to say. Smiling and with soft eyes, he held Tony close and kissed Peter's forehead.

"Happy Valentine's Day," he whispered, holding his two boys close, so very much in love with them.

Valentine's Day, Peter age 5

"Daddy!"

Tony looked down. He was working on a  holographic screen, when felt some tugging at the material of his pants. He saw his son, looking up at him, rocking excitedly on heels, hands behind his back, and smiling brightly at him.

Tony smiled back, wondering what his little boy was up to. "What's up, champ?"

Peter giggled, obviously hiding a secret. Not lasting anymore, he moved his hands to the front and lifted them up. "Will you be my Valentine?" he asked excitedly, handing Tony a slightly uneven heart cut out from a red cardboard with "I love you" written on it with a  gold marker, in a childlike print, some letters written backwards.

Tony felt his heart melt. His son was so cute. He took the card and kneeled down, hugging Peter. "Thank you, I will be happy to be your Valentine," Tony answered with a smile. He felt a kiss on his cheek.

"When I grow up, I want to marry you," Peter whispered as a big secret.

Tony grinned goofily. Seriously, their son was the most adorable little thing ever..

"Peter, aunt Tasha is here to pick you up!" Steve called, entering the room. He and Tony needed a private Valentine's day evening, and decided to ask Natasha to baby sit Peter for a few hours.

"Yay!" Peter chirped, skipping out of the room. " Bye papa! Bye daddy!"

"Have fun," Steve smiled, and Tony waved, still smiling like an idiot. Steve quickly noticed that. "What?"

"Oh, nothing," Tony smiled smugly. He stood up and showed Steve the heart. "Peter gave me a Valentine's day card. He even asked me to marry him," he said, obviously bragging.

Steve laughed heartily, smiling big and wide. "You too, huh? The whole day he was going around the Tower, handing out Valentine's day cards and proposing to people."

Tony's face fell. "What..?"

"Yeah, isn't he cute? Our little sunshine," Steve said, delighted, showing Tony his own Valentine's day card, blue with a silver sign.

Tony's face stretched even more. That little..

Steve blinked, not understanding why Tony looked so betrayed. After a while it clicked, and Steve laughed again. "Aw, babe," he cooed, drawing his husband close, and kissing his temple.

Tony crossed his arms and hmph'ed. Of course, he shouldn't be bothered. Their son loved the whole team equally. But somehow, Tony felt some slight jealousy, knowing that he wasn't the number 1 in his son's eyes.

"Don't worry, I will marry you," Steve grinned, pressing more kisses at Tony's face.

"We are already married," Tony grumbled.

"Then I will divorce you. And marry you again. And then we can have another amazing wedding night," Steve said softly, his kisses getting closer to brunet's lips, and finally kissing his pouting lips.

Tony started to smile, placated by his husband's words. "Maybe we could have an amazing night now?" he asked with a twitchy smile.

Steve growled, low and pleasant, sending shivers up Tony's spine. "Thought you will never ask," he said, lifting Tony up in bridal style and carrying him to the bedroom.

Valentine's Day, Peter age 9

It was early morning and the Stark family was getting ready to start their day. Peter was loudly munching his portion of chocolate puffs with milk, while Tony was sipping his coffee and waiting for Steve to finish their breakfast consisting of eggs and bacon.

"So, Pete," Tony started a conversation in a light tone, winking at Steve humorously, "whose gonna be the lucky lady you will give your heart to today?"

Peter slowed in his chewing, making a disgusted face. "Noh ohne," he mumbled, with a mouthful of puffs.

"First swallow, then talk, Peter," Steve reminded, flipping the bacon and eggs.

Tony whistled. "What? You don't like any girls? No crush or whatsoever?" Tony continued to ask, and Steve started to snicker. Tony became the dad, he vowed to never be.

"Girls have cooties," Peter answered, taking a spoonful of cereals.

"Cooties, eh?" Tony repeated, grinning in humor. "Yeah, that can be a problem," he said in all seriousness. "But you know, Pete, not only girls have cooties.."

Oh boy..

Peter widened his brown eyes, hearing the terrible truth. "What?" he lowered the spoon back into the bowl.

"You know who had cooties? It was--" Tony's voice became quieter, and Steve was more than sure, that Tony was motioning his head at him. He decided to ignore it for now.

"Really?" Peter asked in a terrified whisper.

"Reaallyyy. They were the biggest ones I have ever seen! "

"Do aunt Tasha and aunt Pepper have cooties too?" Peter asked, and Steve listened more carefully, curious about the answer.

"No, they are special," Tony played it safe, never sure when one of the scary red heads could listen. "But boy, Pete, cooties are so hard to get rid of.. I'm still finding some on you-know-who from time to time.."

Steve held back a laugh, and turned around, deciding that it was enough of this nonsense. "Oh, so I have cooties, right?" he asked in a fake anger, propping both hands on hips, play glaring at grinning Tony and scared looking Peter. "Did you guys know that cooties are contagious?" he asked, and jumped to Tony, cupping his husband's face and smooching his cheeks with kisses.

"Ah, noo!" Tony screamed dramatically, faking being distressed. "It's too late for me, son! Save yourself!" he called to Peter.

Peter's eyes got even wider, and he jumped down, running out of the kitchen, Steve closely following.

"Come here, so I can give you cooties!!"

Tony laughed, hearing Steve's roaring and Peter's distressed squeaks. It was great to be a parent for such moments. The moment ending, when Tony smelt the eggs burning and jumped to the stove, trying to save what was left from their breakfast.

Valentine's Day, Peter age 17

Peter was depressed and wandering aimlessly around the Tower. He hated Valentine's day. Valentine's day meant huge bags of mails arriving at the Tower, full of Valentine's day cards, addressed to the Avengers team.Teddy bears, box of chocolates, huge paper hearts, all to the heroes the world loved and admired. But no one cared about him. No one cared about Spider-man. Granted, no one knew that he was Spider-man, as one of the conditions to be allowed to stay Spider-man after they had found out, was promising to his dads, that he would never, ever reveal his identity to anyone. It was so unfair. The whole world knew who were the people behind the Avengers. Granted, no one ever asked them for permission to reveal their names, maybe except his dad who did it on his own. Then at least he should understand him, but no, Tony was not only Iron Man, but also Iron Dad. Dragging his feet, Peter was getting close to his room, and made a plan of playing games till the rest of the day. He reached his hand and opened the door, jumping back in shock, when from behind the door, a whole avalanche of something poured on him.

He looked at the colorful mess, recognizing heart shaped balloons, giant bars of chocolate, an abundance of stuffed animals.. To every item was attached a hand written card with "You go Spider-man!", "We love you, Spidey!", "Our hero!" He recognized his parents' writing, uncles Thor's, Clint's, Bruce's, aunts Natasha's and Pepper's.. A few he didn't recognize, but figured out that they were sent by the part of SHIELD that knew about who was behind the mask.

Peter laughed, tossing a few heart shaped balloons into the air. Maybe Valentine's Day wasn't so bad.

Valentine's Day, Peter age 22

"Can I see your ID and credit card again?"

Peter barely stopped himself from rolling his eyes at the obnoxious receptionists. He patiently plucked out the ID from his wallet and put it on the counter, again, observing as for the 12th time the receptionist's repeated her routine of checking in every possible way if the ID and credit card were not fake. Really, Peter knew that he was trying to get a room in one of the most expensive hotels in New York, and that maybe it was hard to believe that a person in his age could afford the fancy hotel, but come on.

Wade looked at his wrist watch impatiently. At this rate, they would miss Valentine's day. He pressed himself to Peter's back. "Hey, so why we couldn't stay at your place? I told you, that I can perfectly sneak in and be unspotted by the security--"

"Wade, no," Peter growled, trying to bat his boyfriend away, as the whispering in his ear was rather distracting.

"But your parents are not even home! Come on, it would be perfect!" he urged, being informed by Peter that Steve and Tony were on their own secret gateway to celebrate 14th February.

"I said no," Peter repeated, "last time we got caught by uncle Clint and he sabotaged me into washing his after training clothes."

Wade shrugged. "That's not so bad."

"By hand, Wade," Peter seethed.

Oh.. yeah, that seemed worse..

The receptionist clearly couldn't think of anything to hold the couple back, and reluctantly slid the ID and credit card back. "Seems everything is fine--"

"You don't say," Wade offered with a fake, sweet smile, and of course, was ignored.

"-- so, we can proceed to the registration for-- oh, welcome back!" the receptionist brightened, and turned away, to take care of people who apparently were far more important than Peter and Wade.

Wade narrowed his eyes dangerously, Peter felt like banging his head on the desk. Really, maybe it would be easier to sneak Wade into the Tower, and risk washing Clint's underwear..

"The president's suite is ready. We prepared a special Valentine's day decor, Mr. Stark."

… Wait, what?

"Yes, that sound perf-- PETER?!"

Peter spun around, his eyes wide and big as a deer's caught in the headlights. Tony and Steve were holding hands, looking as a perfect couple in love, except, Steve was looking at their son with a shocked face, while Tony narrowed his eyes dangerously.

Peter opened his mouth to explain, but nothing came out. He didn't know what to say. Just say something. No matter what he would say, it couldn't get any worse.

"Mr and Mrs Peter," Wade nodded courteously, making a finger gun and pointing at Steve and Tony and winking at them.

Peter groaned, hiding face in his hands. Okay, it could get worse..
