A fluent stream of silent cursing was steadily leaving Tony's mouth as he rushed through the mass of people. It was loud, very loud, as the mall was unusually crowded, or maybe it was always like that, but Tony wasn't going often enough the malls to evaluate it, but somehow he still got some evil eyes from mothers walking with their children, holding hands, presenting a blissful sight.

Honestly, there was no way that these bra.. children would hear him. And Tony wasn't bothered, cursing his soul out.

Steve wouldn't approve.

But Steve wasn't there.

Steve was the whole reason of this cursing.

Tony lost Steve.

As ridiculous it sounds, Tony lost his grown up boyfriend in a gigantic mall in an even bigger crowd.

And he had just left him for 5 mins!!

Going to the mall was a bad idea. They both knew that, but decided to ignore common sense.

Steve was enthusiastic about the whole trip, Tony was grunting, hating going to the malls, preferring to shop on-line.

When they had entered the mall Steve's enthusiasm soon faltered at the sight of the crowd. But he tried not to show it as Tony was guiding him over numerous shops.

And then the roles had reversed. Steve started to fidget nervously, wanting to get out, while Tony was practically dragging him from one clothes shop to the other.

Secret - Tony was a shopaholic. He could for hours browse through clothes racks, looking for all kinds of clothes and accessories and shoes.. That's why he shopped on-line -  to save time. Pepper was first to find out about his little passion/addiction, after she had spend 1 hour in some shop looking for a dress, while Tony was impatiently waiting for her, grumbling from time to time. When they went to look for a suit for him, he spend four hours in one shop. Initially, she thought that Tony was having some cruel revenge on her. But the more she observed him, the more she realized that Tony knew how to shop - he asked about all the details, knew all kinds of materials, styles, knew what was currently in fashion. When he finally picked the perfect suit, he decided that he needed shoes to go with it. Pepper practically dragged him out - despite his promises that he would buy her any pair of shoes she had wanted. Pepper was tempted, but risking loosing another five hours from her life was so not worth it.

When Tony had spotted yet another shop, with elegant and fancy dress shirts, Steve smiled tiredly, telling his boyfriend that he would wait for him in the nearby cafeteria. Tony nodded and dived into the shop on his own.

When he got back, Steve was nowhere to be seen. Tony didn't think much of it, Steve was a grown up man, so he calmly sat at the table and ordered coffee, waiting for his boyfriend.

When 10 minutes had passed Ton started to worry.

After 20 minutes he was already running around the whole mall.

Finding Steve shouldn't be so hard, dammit! How he could lose 6"2' super soldier?!

And of course Steve wasn't answering his mobile. When Tony was opening a candy bar in the next room, Steve already heard the wrap being ripped, materializing next to Tony taking the candy bar away, but nooooo, seemed that his acute hearing was not working when it came to ring tones.

Tony was getting really, really worried. He should had stapled a paper with a "in case of being lost, please return to Avenger's Tower, Tony's Stark floor" to soldier's broad back.

Another failed attempt at calling Steve and Tony was practically white from fury. When he was planning to go the mall's security to report a missing soldier, he spotted a tall, muscled figure. Steve. Finally!

Tony rushed in his direction. "Steve!"

Nothing. Damn noise.

"STEVE!" in two leaps Tony was close enough and grabbed Steve's jacket forcing him to turn around. "Where the hell whe..?!"

Tony's voice got stuck in his throat. It wasn't Steve. The guy was bulked just like Steve, but had a stubble and green eyes that were looking in confusion at the small guy in front of him.

"Tony?"

This time Tony was sure who it was. He turned around, leaving the confused guy, and pushed at Steve's chest, getting to the less crowded part of the mall.

"Where were you?!" Tony hissed, hitting Steve in the arm. "I have been looking for you for the past 30 mins!"

Steve yelped at the hit, blue eyes getting wide. "Uhmm.. Sorry, I went to the cafeteria as I told you, but when I was sitting some ladies came over to talk, recognizing me, and I saw that they had awfully a lot of bags and I offered.."

"You offered them your help, ditching me!" Tony ended.

Steve made a hurt face. "I didn't. I came back."

"Steve," Tony pinched the bridge of his nose. "Don't talk to strangers without me, okay?"

Steve scoffed. "Seriously? You think that I am a child or what? I think you're taking this a little too far, I know that the world changed, but I wouldn't get kidnapped or something, I know how to.."

"Excuse me for being paranoid after my own kidnapping!!" Tony suddenly snapped in a heavy voice, giving Steve a hateful look. Steve's eyes got wide again. He didn't mean that.

"Babe..".

"I need something cold. And sweet," Tony said slowly, trying to calm down his nerves. "I'm going to get some ice creams," he took a step back, going into cafeteria direction. "Stay here!" he hissed at Steve, which was soon followed by a softer tone. "You want some?"

Steve grimaced a little. He wasn't a fan of cold stuff. "No, thank you."

"You're getting ice cream!! The biggest available! It's penalty ice cream!!" Tony gesticulated vividly, still upset with Steve. When Tony turned around, soldier let out a small chuckle at brunet's methods.

When Tony came back, he didn't carry ice cream. He was slurping a blue slushie, giving Steve a plastic cup with a raspberry smoothie. Steve took it and smiled briefly, feeling that it was at room temperature. They both sipped their drinks, holding hands, going back to the car, calling it a day.

In the car, Tony seemed to totally calm down. He took a deep breath, starting the engine. Steve just couldn't help the little smile on his face.

"You got really worried, huh?" he suddenly blurted, not able to stop. Maybe it was unfair, but he was happy seeing how much Tony got worried.

Tony turned around in his seat, cocking an eyebrow up. "You want me to drive with my eyes closed again?" he threatened.

"No!" Steve practically jumped in his seat, quickly looking down, bracing hands on his knees. He didn't mind quick rides, but he hated that "trick" when during the ride Tony had closed his eyes, still managing to drive in a perfectly straight line. Tony wasn't an idiot. Each time he closed his eyes, JARVIS was taking the wheel. But Tony wasn't eager to share his secret, enjoying the mini heart attacks, he was giving his soldier.

He looked briefly at Steve, all meek and quiet and suddenly felt bad. "Hey.."

Steve looked up, Tony's face practically in his face as he leaned from his seat.

"We're good?" he asked, concern in his voice.

Steve smiled softly and pecked brunet's lips. "We're good."

Tony hummed sitting back on his place, driving out from the parking lot. "Oh, by the way, I need new suits."

Steve just rolled his eyes, not answering that.
